  • What is the Medication Assistance Program?
    The BKA implemented the Medication Assistance Program in September 2022 to assist patients diagnosed with kidney disease with the cost of medication.
  • How long is the program?
    The Medication Assistance Program will be rolled out in phases. This initial pilot phase will be for a period of 6 months, ending February 2023.
  • What happens after 6 months?
    After this phase, the program will be assessed for its outcomes. Patients will be notified of any adjustments and/or improvements made to the program.
  • What medication will I receive when I sign up?
    As part of the pilot program the BKA is providing Nephro-Vite for free to patients affected by kidney disease.
  • What is Nephro-Vite?
    Nephro-Vite is a multivitamin specifically designed to supplement the vitamins that persons with CKD may not be getting enough of.
  • What is needed for me to receive free medication?
    Completed registration form. After completing registration form, you will receive 6 coupons from the BKA, which you will present each month to the participating pharmacies for your medication.
  • Where do I collect coupons?
    Once you sign up for the program, the BKA will contact you with the date and time for coupon collection.
  • What pharmacies can I get medication?
    Our partnering pharmacies are: Comprehensive Pharmacy Friendly Pharmacy (all locations) LiveWell Pharmacy
  • How should I take this medication?
    Medication should be taken as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
  • What if I lose or misplace my coupon?
    If you lose of misplace your coupon, kindly contact the BKA immediately AT (242) 436-1371 to have replaced. The BKA will only replace one coupon per patient during this 6-month period.
  • How much do I have to pay?
    You pay $0.
  • Do I qualify for the program?
    If you are a patient that is diagnosed with CKD, yes, you qualify for this program.
  • Can I have my prescription filled at different participating pharmacies?
    Yes, you can. Medication can be obtained at any of the participating pharmacies once coupon is provided.
